The retreat takes place at Dorilli Planeta Estate by Planeta Winery - a space usually not open to the public!
It focuses, next to the mindful movement sessions, on nature, traditional crafts, such as wine making and growing food, and discovering the local environment.
It is designed to be in an intimate and familiar environment. With only 7 rooms, we will be a small group of people (7-14), where everyone can get to know each other, laugh a lot, have fun, and at the same time have the space to relax and retreat. There will also be enough time for you to deepen what we learn and discover.

*This workshop focuses on moving actively with more ease as well as Relaxation Response.

As this is a retreat for you and taking care of yourself, you always have the option to take time for yourself.
Other optional afternoon activities:
with a rental car you have all the freedom to easily visit incredibly beautiful cities nearby, such as Modica to discover the history of chocolate, or Ragusa Ibla, Castello di Donnafugata Modica, Scicli, Piazza Armerina Agrigento. There are also a number of beaches, nature reserves or archological sites near by.

HOLISTIC MOVEMENT, MINDFULNESS & YOGA is the best approach to wellbeing, breath and movement teachings that you can imagine for a retreat.
For this retreat, as the focus is to find ease and relaxation, and to connect with the environment, the classes and workshop are designed to school your awareness and discover the feel-good feeling inside of you. This is a super powerful tool and guide you can foster, that also leads you to making great choices in life, such as choosing foods that nourish you, but also puts a lot of appreciation to the idea of joy and enjoyment - as one experiences with tasting great wine.
I will offer morning meditation sessions, and we will have 2 daily sessions consisting of Strala yoga flows, as well as classes and workshops, all light. space. movement. style. There will be extra time on Friday afternoon for an extra yoga session, Q&As, or a workshop on request, if questions or topics arise throughout this retreat.
Mindful Movement & Yoga
Dorilli, Vittoria
Vittoria is one of those places full of history and the long agricultural tradition of the Planeta family; even their ancestors disagreed about whether it would be better to cultivate vines there or around Menfi. They learnt from children to recognise the aroma of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, thus it was natural to travel along the island’s southern coast to produce it here, in its own great country. The Dorilli estate was established by renovating the big country house which stood at the centre of an ancient landholding; the Planeta family replanted the vines which had not been grown there for a long time, restored the winery and the large rooms which are now reserved for hospitality. With its typical Liberty style, the whole estate now expresses the fascination of great elegance together with the unmistakable atmosphere of an old country house.
THE SPACE
They have renovated the old country side house constisting of several buildings, respecting their style and character to keep its idenity of a noble country residence, which allows for the experience to stay in a space immersed by the vineyards - a real oasis of peace.
THE ROOMS
All rooms have their own unique differences, decorated and designed with a lot of care and come with their own bathrooms. Rooms can be booked as single or double use.
Food & Wine
The wines of Dorilli are three special examples from this territory of strong and recognisable identity, where we have worked with other producers in a very co-operative relationship to enable the Cerasuolo di Vittoria to obtain the denomination of DOCG, the first and only in Sicily. Today we produce a single variety Frappato here, in order to explore as far as possible the potential of this indigenous vine, as well as a Cerasuolo di Vittoria and a Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico, which differ in the composition of the blend and the process of vinification.

No, you don’t. Anyone can join, wether you are a total beginner (I love beginners mindsets) or a professional yogi. The yoga sessions and workshops are designed to include any level and experience and there is always enough spasce to find your own flow and feel great. I include a lot of my own approach and teachings, which offers learning opportunities and great experiences for everyone.

No. I highly recommend everyone to get their own travel insurance, because you never know what happens and there is always a possibility for you to not be able to make it. The retreats are not fully refundable, and 2 weeks before the start of the retreats not refundable at all. So to be on the safe side and stress free, I recommend you to have your own insurance. I have one as well!

Not really. If you are looking forward to it, this is a great preparation!

Comfortable clothes, that you feel good in and allow you to move well. It is also always good to bring a sweater and a pair of socks. especially when we are still in the spring or head towards the autumn time, it can be a bit colder in the mornings or evenings. Some people also just really enjoy to be cozy, especially when doing very gentle activities, such as slow classes or meditation sessions.
Also, I can recommend to pack sunscreen, mosquito spray, and swim wear, incase you like to jump into the pool or ocean. If you like to dress elegant for dinner, La Foresteria Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant, you are welcome to do so.
If you like, you can bring your own yoga mat, but it is not necessary, as they will be provided at all retreats. -

Are travel expenses included?
Flights and airport trasnfers are not included.
Only the transfer expenses during the retreat for activities that are part of the program, e.g. to go to sights or the wine tastings. I can always arrange for you an airport or city to retreat place transfer, but it is not included, as people arrive from different parts of the world at different times. -
On all retreats we serve vegetarian and vegan friendly food. Sometimes there will be fish, as the retreats take place close to the ocean and it is a nice way to try culinary specialties from the regions. But in any case, I will ask for any dietary preferences and allergies before any retreat, so we can accomodate everyone, wether you have celiac disease, a lactose intolerance, religious dietary restrictions etc.

Part of the retreat package are only the dates announced. If you like to arrive earlier, or leave later, you will need to book your accomodation extra for those days. This can be at the same place, if there are availabilities. I can also always give you recommendations of places to stay at or things to see if you like to plan a longer travel.

The sessions will mostly be lead in English, as the group is international. Obviously I can always translate parts into German, my mother tongue and Italian, which I have learned.
